Text, typography and fonts
Text is your wording. Typography is how that wording is arranged and styled. A reusable font contains mapped glyphs so you can type new wording. An illustrated alphabet or an image of a word is not automatically an installable TTF/OTF font.
Standard outline fonts scale cleanly and have no fixed DPI. The eight decorative style samples are illustrated references; they are not eight completed downloadable font families. The recovered Dots Rounded font is a separate existing font.
Files and print size
PNG and TIFF are raster images. Outlined SVG uses vector shapes. Keep editable originals as well as exported artwork. An export option is available only when the actual tool provides it.
- 6 inches at 300 PPI: 1800 pixels
- 8 inches at 300 PPI: 2400 pixels
- 10 inches at 300 PPI: 3000 pixels
- 10.5 inches at 300 PPI: 3150 pixels
These are sizing calculations, not a guarantee that an export has 300 PPI metadata. Check the file dimensions, intended physical size, transparency, color profile and printer requirements. Mirror only when the production process calls for it, and approve a printer proof.
